Licensed mortgage broker who built the first version of Broki to fix the problems he dealt with every day in his own business.
Broki started as a solution to a problem I was dealing with in my own mortgage business — too many systems, too much manual work, and nothing that actually worked the way I wanted it to.
So instead of switching systems again, I decided to build one.
My name is Jarrett White.
Before mortgages, before Broki, and before I knew anything about software, I was working in an auto body shop detailing cars.
I had done well in school, but I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I just knew I didn’t want to spend years and thousands of dollars pursuing something I wasn’t passionate about.
So I went to work.

While working at the body shop, I noticed the technicians didn’t all work the same schedule. Some arrived early. Some came in late. Some left early. And I couldn’t understand how that was possible.
Then someone explained flat-rate pay to me. You weren’t paid because you sat in the building for eight hours. You were paid based on what you produced.
That completely changed how I looked at work.
“If I could work harder, become more efficient and create more value, I could earn more.”
I went to school, became a Red Seal automotive painter and went all in. I was painting three or four cars a day, working late and doing incredibly well for someone in their early twenties.
Then COVID hit.
People stopped driving. Cars stopped coming into the shop. And almost overnight, my income disappeared. That forced me to rethink what I wanted to do next.
While signing up for real estate licensing, I noticed mortgage brokering was another option. I remember thinking:
So I started researching. What surprised me was how few young mortgage brokers I could find compared to Realtors. There were tons of people in their twenties and thirties building real estate brands online. Very few mortgage brokers.
That looked like an opportunity.
“I decided I was going to become one of the younger brokers who really made a name for themselves in the industry.”
But the biggest reason I was able to grow wasn’t just because I worked hard.
It was because I became obsessed with systems. That obsession would eventually become Broki.

AI development tools were just beginning to emerge, and I became fascinated by what was suddenly possible. I decided to try building something myself.
The first version was rough. Really rough. But it worked.
And once I realized I could build solutions to the problems I was experiencing every day as a broker… I became completely obsessed.

Feature after feature. Workflow after workflow. Until eventually, what started as a small document portal became a functioning platform.
But I had also reached the limit of what I could build alone.
I brought in my business partner, Will. He had around 15 years of software development experience and had also worked in project management.
He looked at what I had built and basically said:
“This is impressive… but we should rebuild the whole thing.”

That was when I learned there are levels to software development. AI can make development incredibly powerful. But combine AI with experienced engineers who truly understand architecture, security and software development? That changes everything.
Broki wasn’t created by a software company looking at mortgage brokers from the outside. It was created because I was a broker dealing with the exact same problems every day.
We didn’t build software and then try to make it work for mortgage brokers.
We started with the mortgage broker workflow and built the software around it.
Broki is designed to evolve with the way mortgage brokers actually work.
Give mortgage brokers better systems so they can build better businesses.
And more time helping clients, building relationships and growing your business.
A mortgage broker, a seasoned software leader and a full-stack engineer. Small team, deep focus.

Licensed mortgage broker who built the first version of Broki to fix the problems he dealt with every day in his own business.

Around 15 years in software development and project management. Rebuilt Broki from the ground up and leads its architecture, security and engineering.

Full-stack engineer building Broki’s features end to end, from the database to the screens brokers use every day.
We already have the next year of Broki mapped out. New workflows. New automations. New integrations. And features we believe are going to fundamentally change how mortgage brokers run their businesses.
We’re building the platform I always wished existed when I started brokering — and every future decision will be shaped by feedback from the brokers actually using it.
“Broki will never be finished. It will keep evolving alongside the brokers who use it.”— Jarrett White, Founder & CEO
